  1. 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
  2. 2. Halve the tomatoes and remove the hard stem.
  3. 3. Halve the onion and remove the outer skin.
  4. 4. Peel the garlic cloves.
  5. 5. Wash the bell pepper, halve it, and remove the stem and seeds.
  6. 6. Cut the bell pepper into large chunks.
  7. 7. Peel the cucumber.
  8. 8. Cut the cucumber into large cubes.
  9. 9. Place the tomatoes, onion halves, garlic, pepper chunks, and cucumber cubes into the mixing container.
  10. 10. Chop the vegetables for 20 seconds on speed 6.
  11. 11. Add the olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper to the mixture.
  12. 12. Blend everything for 2 minutes on speed 10 until a smooth soup forms.
  13. 13. Wash the basil thoroughly.
  14. 14. Shake the basil dry.
  15. 15. Separate the basil leaves from the stems.
  16. 16. Chill the soup until you are ready to serve it.
  17. 17. Serve the gazpacho cold.
  18. 18. Garnish the bowls with the fresh basil leaves.
