🍽️ Crispy Flammkuchen with Bacon and Onions

Ingredients
- Wheat flour, Type 405 600 g
- Water 400 ml
- Salt pinch
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Spring onions 1 bunch
- Creme fraiche 200 g
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Bacon cubes 125 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat.
- 2. Add flour, water, salt, and oil to a bowl.
- 3. Stir the ingredients until you have a smooth dough.
- 4. Divide the dough into two equal balls.
- 5. Cover the dough balls with a kitchen towel.
- 6. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- 7. Wash the spring onions thoroughly.
- 8. Cut off the hard ends of the spring onions.
- 9. Slice the spring onions into thin rings.
- 10. Put the crème fraîche into a separate bowl.
- 11. Season the crème fraîche with a little salt and pepper.
- 12. Divide each dough ball into two equal portions.
- 13. Place a sheet of baking paper on your work surface.
- 14. Roll out one half of the dough flat on the baking paper.
- 15. Place the baking paper with the dough onto a baking tray.
- 16. Spread the seasoned crème fraîche evenly over the dough.
- 17. Distribute the spring onion rings over the crème fraîche.
- 18. Sprinkle the bacon cubes over the flammkuchen.
- 19. Repeat the steps for the second half of the dough.
- 20. Slide the baking tray into the preheated oven.
- 21. Bake the flammkuchen for about 8 minutes.
- 22. Remove the flammkuchen when it is golden brown and crispy.
- 23. Cut the flammkuchen into bite-sized pieces.
- 24. Season the pieces once more with fresh pepper.
- 25. Serve the flammkuchen immediately while hot.
