🍽️ Classic Cabbage Rolls in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- Classic cabbage rolls with meat filling, frozen 600 g
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- oil 3 tbsp
- tomato paste 1 tbsp
- tomatoes, chopped 250 g
- beef broth 200 ml
- paprika, sweet pinch
- cumin pinch
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- parsley, fresh 20 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Take the cabbage rolls out of the freezer to let them thaw.
- 3. Halve an onion and peel it.
- 4. Dice the onion finely.
- 5. Peel a clove of garlic.
- 6. Chop the garlic coarsely.
- 7. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a casserole dish on high heat.
- 8. Fry the cabbage rolls in it on all sides for about 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
- 9. Remove the rolls from the casserole dish and place them on a plate.
- 10. Leave the casserole dish unwashed.
- 11. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the same casserole dish on medium heat.
- 12. Add the diced onion and the chopped garlic.
- 13. Sauté the vegetables while stirring for about 2 minutes.
- 14. Add tomato paste and fry it for about 1 minute.
- 15. Add chopped tomatoes and beef broth to the casserole dish.
- 16. Season the sauce with paprika powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- 17. Place the cabbage rolls into the sauce.
- 18. Close the lid of the casserole dish.
- 19. Put the casserole dish in the oven for about 30 minutes.
- 20. Remove the lid for the last 10 minutes.
- 21. Wash fresh parsley.
- 22. Shake the parsley dry.
- 23. Remove the coarse stems from the parsley.
- 24. Chop the parsley finely.
- 25. Take the cabbage rolls out of the oven.
- 26. Plate the rolls.
- 27. Add some tomato sauce.
- 28. Sprinkle the dishes with the chopped parsley.
- 29. Serve the cabbage rolls hot.
