  3. 3. Halve the cherries and remove the pits.
  4. 4. Take a large bowl.
  5. 5. Add 100 grams of cold, cubed butter to the bowl.
  6. 6. Add one packet of vanilla sugar.
  7. 7. Add 50 grams of sugar.
  8. 8. Pour 200 grams of flour into the bowl.
  9. 9. Rub the ingredients together with your hands to form loose crumbs.
  10. 10. Place the crumbs in a cool spot until you need them.
  11. 11. Take a clean bowl for the dough.
  12. 12. Add 200 grams of soft butter to the bowl.
  13. 13. Beat the butter with a hand mixer using the whisk attachment.
  14. 14. Beat for about 5 minutes until the mixture is foamy.
  15. 15. Add 150 grams of sugar to the butter.
  16. 16. Add 3 eggs to the mixture one by one.
  17. 17. Mix everything until creamy.
  18. 18. Take a small separate bowl.
  19. 19. Add 150 grams of flour to the small bowl.
  20. 20. Add 150 grams of ground hazelnuts.

  22. 22. Mix the dry ingredients well.
  23. 23. Add 100 milliliters of milk to the dry ingredients.
  24. 24. Fold the flour mixture into the butter dough.
  25. 25. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  26. 26. Spread the dough evenly on the tray.
  27. 27. Distribute the prepared cherries over the dough.
  28. 28. Sprinkle the cold vanilla crumbs over the top.
  29. 29. Bake the cake for about 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
