  3. 3. Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves.
  4. 4. Put the lemon juice and sugar into a small saucepan.
  5. 5. Heat the mixture over medium heat while stirring constantly.
  6. 6. Keep stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  7. 7. Then let the clear liquid cool down.
  8. 8. Wash the oranges thoroughly.
  9. 9. Cut the oranges in half.
  10. 10. Squeeze the juice from the oranges.
  11. 11. Cut the melon in half lengthwise.
  12. 12. Remove the seeds using a large spoon.
  13. 13. Use a melon baller to scoop out small balls of fruit flesh.
  14. 14. Place the melon balls into a large bowl.
  15. 15. Pour the orange juice over the melon balls.
  16. 16. Wash the raspberries under running water.
  17. 17. Let the raspberries drain well in a colander.
  18. 18. Remove the physalis fruits from their papery husks.
  19. 19. Wash the physalis and let them drain as well.
  20. 20. Peel the kiwi.
  21. 21. Cut the kiwi into quarters lengthwise.
  22. 22. Cut the kiwi strips into small pieces.
  23. 23. Add the raspberries, physalis, and kiwi pieces to the melon.
  24. 24. Pour the cooled lemon syrup into the bowl.
  25. 25. Add the apple juice.
  26. 26. Place the finished punch in the refrigerator to chill.
  27. 27. Pour the cold punch into glasses.
  28. 28. Add ice cubes if desired.
  29. 29. Optionally top up with sparkling mineral water.
