  1. 1. Halve the onions and peel them. Cut the onion flesh into small cubes.
  2. 2. Wash the kale thoroughly and dry it well. Remove the tough stems and cut the leaves into thin strips.
  3. 3. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pot over medium heat.
  4. 4. Add the onions and kale to the pot. Season with salt and sugar and sauté the mixture for about two minutes.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat and fry the vegetables for another three minutes.
  6. 6. Deglaze the vegetables with about 300 milliliters of water.
  7. 7. Cover the pot and let the vegetables cook for about 15 to 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  8. 8. Wash the potatoes and carrots and peel them.
  9. 9. Cut the potatoes and carrots into cubes.
  10. 10. Place the vegetables in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil.
  11. 11. Cook the vegetables over medium heat with the lid on for about 15 minutes.
  12. 12. Rinse the Kasseler under running water and pat it dry.
  13. 13. Season the Kasseler with a little salt.
  14. 14. After about 10 minutes of cooking time, mix the kale with mustard.
  15. 15. Place the Kasseler steaks on top of the kale.
  16. 16. Cover the pot and finish cooking the Kasseler.
  17. 17. Wash the parsley and shake it dry.
  18. 18. Pluck the parsley leaves from the stems and cut them into thin strips.
  19. 19. Drain the cooked potato and carrot vegetables.
  20. 20. Let the vegetables steam for a short while.
  21. 21. Drizzle the honey evenly over the vegetables.
  22. 22. Season the vegetables with salt.
  23. 23. Add the cut parsley and mix everything well.
  24. 24. Remove the Kasseler from the pot.
  25. 25. Plate the Kasseler.
  26. 26. Season the kale with salt and pepper to taste.
  27. 27. Serve the kale together with the Kasseler and the honey potato vegetable.
