  1. 1. Bring about 2 liters of salted water to a boil in a pot.
  2. 2. Rinse the Kasseler and dry it thoroughly.
  3. 3. Halve an onion, peel it, and cut it into small cubes.
  4. 4. Place the sauerkraut in a colander and let it drain well.
  5. 5. Wash the parsley, spin it dry, and pick the leaves off the stems.
  6. 6. Finely chop the parsley leaves.
  7. 7. Wash the grapes and halve them.
  8. 8. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pot over medium heat.
  9. 9. Sauté the onion cubes in it for about 2 to 3 minutes until translucent.
  10. 10. Add the drained sauerkraut and fry it for about 1 minute.
  11. 11. Deglaze the mixture with cream.
  12. 12. Season to taste with salt and sugar.
  13. 13. Reduce the heat.
  14. 14. Place the Kasseler pieces on top of the sauerkraut.
  15. 15. Let everything simmer covered for about 15 minutes.
  16. 16. Add the dumplings to the boiling salted water.
  17. 17. Cook the dumplings uncovered for about 12 minutes.
  18. 18. Remove the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon.
  19. 19. Let the dumplings drain briefly.
  20. 20. Place the dumplings on a large plate.
  21. 21. Pour off the cooking water.
  22. 22. Melt butter in the same pot over medium heat.
  23. 23. Fry the dumplings in it for about 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown, shaking the pot occasionally.
  24. 24. Mix the chopped parsley and halved grapes into the sauerkraut.
  25. 25. Season the sauerkraut with salt, pepper, and sugar.
  26. 26. Plate the Kasseler together with the cream sauerkraut and dumplings.
  27. 27. Serve the dish and enjoy your meal.
