🍽️ Potato Pancake Basic Recipe

Ingredients
- potatoes, mainly waxy 1 kg
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- wheat flour, Type 405 4 tbsp
- eggs 2 pc.
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- oil 8 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes, wash them thoroughly, and grate them coarsely. Then place the mixture in a kitchen towel and squeeze out the excess moisture. Halve the onion, peel it, and dice it finely.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 50 °C (fan). In a bowl, combine the grated potatoes with the onions, flour, and eggs, and season with salt and pepper.
- 3. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add spoonfuls of the potato mixture and flatten them with the back of the spoon. Fry until golden brown on each side for about 2–3 minutes. Continue this process until all the mixture is used.
- 4. Let the finished potato pancakes drain on paper towels and keep them warm in the oven. Enjoy your meal! Tip: Applesauce pairs wonderfully with them.
