🍽️ Crispy Potato Pancake Burgers

Ingredients
- onions, red 1 pc.
- vine tomatoes 2 pcs.
- basil, fresh 20 g
- mini romaine 1 pc.
- sour cream 100 g
- mustard 1 tsp
- honey 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- minced meat, mixed 400 g
- eggs 2 pcs.
- breadcrumbs 2 tbsp
- potatoes, mostly waxy 600 g
- wheat flour, type 405 2 tbsp
- oil 4 tbsp
- ketchup 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings.
- 2. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and slice them into thick rounds.
- 3. Rinse the basil, pat it dry, and pick the leaves off the stems.
- 4. Separate the lettuce leaves individually and wash them as well.
- 5. Mix the sour cream in a bowl with mustard and honey.
- 6. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 8. Mix the minced meat in a bowl with the garlic, one egg, and breadcrumbs.
- 9. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
- 10. Form four equal-sized patties from the meat mixture.
- 11. Peel the potatoes and wash them.
- 12. Grate the potatoes coarsely using a grater.
- 13. Squeeze the grated potatoes well in a kitchen towel to remove the liquid.
- 14. Mix the dry potatoes in a bowl with flour and one egg.
- 15. Season the potato mixture with salt and pepper.
- 16. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 17. Place a portion of the potato mixture into the pan.
- 18. Press the mixture flat with the back of a spoon to form a small pancake.
- 19. Fry the pancake for about 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown on the first side.
- 20. Flip the pancake and fry the second side until golden brown as well.
- 21. Repeat this process with the remaining batter until you have 8 small pancakes.
- 22. Place the finished pancakes on kitchen paper to absorb excess fat.
- 23. Heat another 2 tablespoons of oil in the pan.
- 24. Fry the meat patties for about 5 minutes.
- 25. Take 4 potato pancakes and spread them with the sour cream sauce and ketchup.
- 26. Place a meat patty on the sauced side.
- 27. Top the burger as you like with onion rings, tomato slices, basil, and lettuce.
- 28. Place another unsauced potato pancake on top as a lid.
- 29. Serve the potato pancake burgers immediately and enjoy your meal.
