  1. 1. Cut the onion in half and peel it. Dice the onion roughly.
  2. 2. Peel the carrots and trim the ends. Slice the carrots.
  3. 3. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.
  4. 4. Wash the beans. Snap off the hard ends.
  5. 5. Heat the oil in a large pot over high heat.
  6. 6. Sauté the onions for about 2 minutes.
  7. 7. Add the carrots and potatoes to the pot. Sauté everything for another 2 minutes.
  8. 8. Stir in the tomato paste. Season with sugar. Roast the mixture for about 2 minutes.
  9. 9. Deglaze the mixture with vegetable broth.
  10. 10. Season with salt, pepper, and potato frying spice.
  11. 11. Add the bay leaf to the pot.
  12. 12. Let the goulash simmer for about 20 minutes.
  13. 13. After about 10 minutes, add the beans. Continue cooking everything together.
  14. 14. Slice the Wiener sausages into rings.
  15. 15. Add the sausage rings to the goulash for about 5 minutes.
  16. 16. Remove the bay leaf.
  17. 17. Season the goulash to your taste.
  18. 18. Fill the goulash into bowls. Add a dollop of sour cream on top.
