Ingredients
- potatoes, mainly waxy 1 kg
- salt pinch
- onions, yellow 2 pcs.
- goat cheese roll 200 g
- oil 2 tbsp
- bacon strips 125 g
- white wine, dry 100 ml
- vegetable broth 200 ml
- goat cream cheese 300 g
- pepper, black ground pinch
- cumin 1 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Fill a pot with salted water and bring it to a boil.
- 2. Add the potatoes to the boiling water.
- 3. Place the lid on the pot and cook the potatoes for about 20 minutes.
- 4. Check if the potatoes are tender.
- 5. Drain the water.
- 6. Let the potatoes cool down briefly.
- 7. Peel the potatoes.
- 8. Slice the potatoes.
- 9. Halve the onions.
- 10. Peel the onions.
- 11. Dice the onions.
- 12. Slice the goat cheese.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (convection).
- 14. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 15. Add the onions and bacon strips to the pan.
- 16. Sauté the onions and bacon for about 3 minutes.
- 17. Deglaze the pan with wine.
- 18. Add the broth.
- 19. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 20. Stir in the fresh goat cheese.
- 21. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 22. Season the mixture with salt.
- 23. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 24. Season the mixture with nutmeg.
- 25. Season the mixture with cumin.
- 26. Take a baking dish.
- 27. Layer the cheese-bacon mixture and potato slices alternately in the dish.
- 28. Finish the layering with the cheese-bacon mixture.
- 29. Top the uppermost layer with the goat cheese slices.
- 30. Place the baking dish in the oven.
- 31. Bake the gratin for about 25 minutes.
