  3. 3. Cut the carrots into small, uniform pieces.
  4. 4. Melt some butter in a pot over medium heat.
  5. 5. Sauté the carrot pieces in the butter for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. 6. Deglaze the carrots with white wine.
  7. 7. Let the mixture boil for about 2 minutes.
  8. 8. Add broth to the soup.
  9. 9. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. 10. Bring the soup to a boil.
  11. 11. Simmer the soup for about 20 minutes over medium heat.
  12. 12. Wash the lemon under running water.
  13. 13. Cut the lemon in half.
  14. 14. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
