🍽️ Caramelized Ground Meat-Leek Pan with Bread Dumplings

Ingredients
- Leek 3 pc.
- Onions, yellow 1 pc.
- Salt pinch
- Mini Bread Dumplings 800 g
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Minced meat, mixed 600 g
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Whipping cream 200 ml
- Milk 200 ml
- Cornstarch 1 tsp
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Cut the leek lengthwise.
- 2. Slice the leek into thin strips.
- 3. Rinse the leek strips thoroughly.
- 4. Halve the onion.
- 5. Peel the onion.
- 6. Dice the onion finely.
- 7. Pour about 3 liters of water into a large pot.
- 8. Salt the water.
- 9. Bring the salted water to a boil.
- 10. Add the bread dumplings to the boiling water.
- 11. Let the dumplings steep in the water for about 10 minutes.
- 12. Avoid a vigorous boil during this time.
- 13. Remove the bread dumplings with a slotted spoon.
- 14. Add oil to a pot.
- 15. Heat the oil over medium to high heat.
- 16. Sauté the ground meat for about 4 minutes.
- 17. Cook the meat until it is crumbly.
- 18. Add the diced onions.
- 19. Add the leek.
- 20. Add the sugar.
- 21. Fry the mixture for another 5 minutes.
- 22. Deglaze the pan with cream.
- 23. Deglaze the pan with milk.
- 24. Bring the sauce to a boil.
- 25. Take a bowl.
- 26. Mix starch with 2 tablespoons of water in the bowl.
- 27. Stir the starch-water mixture into the sauce.
- 28. Let the sauce simmer lightly for about 2 minutes.
- 29. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
- 30. Season the ground meat-leek mixture with salt.
- 31. Season the ground meat-leek mixture with pepper.
- 32. Serve the bread dumplings on plates.
- 33. Serve the ground meat-leek pan alongside.
