  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and turn on the grill function.
  2. 2. Cut the grapefruit in half.
  3. 3. Carefully cut along the thin membranes between the fruit segments with a knife so that the segments loosen easily.
  4. 4. Place one tablespoon of sugar on the exposed cut surface of each grapefruit half.
  5. 5. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  6. 6. Place the grapefruit halves on the tray with the sugared side facing up.
  7. 7. Put the tray in the oven and grill the grapefruit for about five minutes until the sugar caramelizes.
  8. 8. Take the grapefruit out of the oven and let it cool down for a short while.
  9. 9. Serve the caramelized grapefruit immediately and enjoy it.
