🍰 Caramel Bars with Pretzels

Ingredients
- butter 200 g
- Sugar 300 g
- Wheat flour, Type 405 250 g
- Salt Pinch
- Whipping cream 150 ml
- Melting chocolate, dark 250 g
- Salt pretzels 50 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 2. Beat the soft butter in a bowl with a hand mixer until fluffy.
- 3. Add 100 grams of sugar and mix the mixture well.
- 4. Add the flour and the salt.
- 5. Knead the ingredients with a dough hook and your hands to form a firm dough.
- 6. Lightly dust the work surface with flour.
- 7. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 to 2 centimeters.
- 8. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 9. Bake the dough in the oven for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- 10. Melt the remaining sugar in a saucepan over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- 11. Caramelize the sugar until it has a light brown color.
- 12. Deglaze the caramel with cream and stir well.
- 13. Let the mixture simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.
- 14. Pour the caramel over the baked dough.
- 15. Place the tray in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- 16. Bring about 1 liter of water to a boil in a saucepan.
- 17. Melt the chocolate in a metal bowl over the boiling water.
- 18. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel.
- 19. Top the layer with salted pretzels.
- 20. Place the tray back in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- 21. Cut the finished bars into squares.
- 22. Serve the caramel bars with pretzels.
