  1. 1. Let the frozen strawberries thaw at room temperature.
  2. 2. Grease a baking pan generously with butter.
  3. 3. Put the sugar into the mixing container.
  4. 4. Pulverize the sugar using the measuring cup on the lid for 10 seconds on speed 8.
  5. 5. Repeat the grinding if necessary until the sugar is fine.
  6. 6. Pour the ground sugar into a separate bowl.
  7. 7. Wash the lemon under hot water and dry it.
  8. 8. Peel two strips of lemon zest, each about 4 cm long and 1 cm wide, using a vegetable peeler.
  9. 9. Add the lemon zest strips to the empty mixing container.
  10. 10. Grind the zest for 5 seconds on speed 8.
  11. 11. Halve the vanilla pod lengthwise.
  12. 12. Scrape out the pulp (seeds) from the pod.
  13. 13. Add 150 g of the prepared powdered sugar to the mixing container.
  14. 14. Add the vanilla pulp to the container as well.
  15. 15. Mix the ingredients using the measuring cup on the lid for 10 seconds.
  16. 16. Fill 1.5 liters of lukewarm water into the mixing container.
  17. 17. Place the deep steam cooking insert onto the appliance.
  18. 18. Place two wooden sticks or forks into the insert.
  19. 19. Place the baking pan on top of the sticks or forks.
  20. 20. Ensure the pan does not rest directly on the bottom and that the steam vents are free.
  21. 21. Place the steam cooking insert with the pan into the mixing container.
  22. 22. Close the lid of the appliance.
  23. 23. Start the steam cooking function for 1 hour.
  24. 24. Add another 10 minutes of steam cooking after the first hour is finished.
  25. 25. Let the cake cool down completely in the pan.
  26. 26. Store the cooled cake in the refrigerator until serving.
  27. 27. Rinse the mixing container thoroughly.
  28. 28. Put the thawed strawberries into the clean container.
  29. 29. Add the remaining powdered sugar to the strawberries.
  30. 30. Puree the mixture for 10 seconds on speed 9.
  31. 31. Add some lemon juice to the strawberry mixture.
  32. 32. Stir the sauce for 10 seconds on speed 2.
  33. 33. Spread the finished strawberry sauce evenly over the cheesecake.
