🍽️ Crunchy Cheese Caraway Crackers

Ingredients
- Alpine cheese 100 g
- wheat flour, Type 405 280 g
- honey 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- cumin, whole pinch
- olive oil 2 tbsp
- water 150 ml
Instructions
- 1. Turn on the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (convection mode) and let it preheat.
- 2. Cut off the hard rind from the mountain cheese.
- 3. Grate the remaining cheese finely.
- 4. Take a large bowl and add flour, honey, salt, caraway seeds, and oil.
- 5. Add half of the grated cheese to the mixture in the bowl.
- 6. Mix the ingredients well together.
- 7. Add water gradually.
- 8. Knead the dough until it is smooth and uniform.
- 9. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
- 10. Roll out the dough on the surface to a thickness of about 3 millimeters.
- 11. Cut the dough into rectangles using a fluted pastry wheel.
- 12. Line two baking trays with baking paper.
- 13. Place the dough pieces on the trays with some space between them.
- 14. Prick the crackers several times with a fork.
- 15. Sprinkle the crackers with salt.
- 16. Add the remaining grated cheese on top.
- 17. Put the trays into the preheated oven one after the other.
- 18. Bake the crackers for about 12 to 15 minutes.
- 19. Take the trays out when the crackers are golden brown.
- 20. Let the crackers cool completely on a wire rack.
- 21. Store the finished crackers in an airtight container.
