🥗 Cheese Patties with Mashed Potatoes and Tomato-Cucumber Salad

Ingredients
- potatoes, starchy 1 kg
- salt pinch
- minced meat, mixed 600 g
- pepper, black ground pinch
- eggs 2 pcs.
- Gouda, grated 100 g
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- oil 4 tbsp
- salad cucumbers 1 pc.
- vine tomatoes 4 pcs.
- organic limes 1 pc.
- parsley, fresh 20 g
- sugar pinch
- butter 1 tbsp
- milk 200 ml
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 3. Peel the potatoes.
- 4. Cut the potatoes into large chunks.
- 5. Place the potato chunks into a pot.
- 6. Pour in salted water until the potatoes are covered.
- 7. Bring the water to a boil.
- 8. Cook the potatoes for about 25 minutes with the lid on.
- 9. Take a large bowl.
- 10. Add the minced meat to the bowl.
- 11. Season the minced meat with salt.
- 12. Season the minced meat with pepper.
- 13. Add the eggs to the bowl.
- 14. Add the grated cheese to the bowl.
- 15. Mix all ingredients thoroughly together.
- 16. Shape the meat mixture into patties.
- 17. Make sure the patties are about 5 cm in diameter.
- 18. Peel the onion.
- 19. Cut the onion in half.
- 20. Slice the onion halves into thin rings.
- 21. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan.
- 22. Set the heat to high.
- 23. Fry the patties in the pan.
- 24. Fry the patties for about 3 minutes.
- 25. Turn the patties until they are golden brown on all sides.
- 26. Place the pre-fried patties on a baking sheet.
- 27. Place the baking sheet in the oven.
- 28. Cook the patties for another 10 minutes in the oven.
- 29. Fry the onion rings in the same pan.
- 30. Fry the onions for about 10 minutes.
- 31. Fry the onions until they are golden brown.
- 32. Season the onions with salt.
- 33. Season the onions with pepper.
- 34. Wash the cucumber.
- 35. Wash the tomatoes.
- 36. Wash the lime.
- 37. Wash the parsley.
- 38. Dry the vegetables and herbs.
- 39. Dice the cucumber.
- 40. Dice the tomatoes.
- 41. Pluck the parsley leaves from the stems.
- 42. Roughly chop the parsley leaves.
- 43. Cut the lime in half.
- 44. Take a small bowl.
- 45. Squeeze the juice of one lime half into the bowl.
- 46. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the bowl.
- 47. Add sugar to the bowl.
- 48. Add 4 tablespoons of water to the bowl.
- 49. Whisk the dressing ingredients well.
- 50. Add the diced tomatoes and cucumbers to a large bowl.
- 51. Add half of the chopped parsley.
- 52. Mix the vegetables with the parsley.
- 53. Season the salad with salt.
- 54. Season the salad with pepper.
- 55. Drain the cooking water from the potatoes.
- 56. Use the pot lid as a strainer while draining.
- 57. Add butter to the pot with the potatoes.
- 58. Add milk to the pot with the potatoes.
- 59. Warm the potato-milk mixture for another 30 seconds on the stove.
- 60. Mash the potatoes with a hand mixer.
- 61. Mash the potatoes until they are creamy.
- 62. Fold in the remaining parsley into the mash.
- 63. Season the mashed potatoes with salt.
- 64. Season the mashed potatoes with pepper.
- 65. Remove the finished patties from the oven.
- 66. Plate the patties.
- 67. Add the fried onions to the plates.
- 68. Add the mashed potatoes to the plates.
- 69. Serve the salad alongside.
