🍽️ Cod in foil packets

Ingredients
- Cod, frozen 600 g
- Vinegar 1 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Gherkins 100 g
- Onions, yellow 1 pc.
- Bacon strips 75 g
- Rosemary, fresh 10 g
Instructions
- 1. Thaw the cod overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2. Pat the fish dry with kitchen paper the next day.
- 3. Place the cod in a bowl.
- 4. Drizzle the fish with vinegar.
- 5. Season the fish with salt.
- 6. Cut the cod into three equal pieces.
- 7. Let the gherkins drain well.
- 8. Cut the gherkins into small cubes.
- 9. Halve the onions.
- 10. Peel the onion halves.
- 11. Finely chop the onions.
- 12. Heat a frying pan over medium heat.
- 13. Fry the bacon in the pan for about 5 minutes without adding extra fat.
- 14. Wash the rosemary under running water.
- 15. Shake the rosemary dry.
- 16. Strip the rosemary needles from the stems.
- 17. Finely chop the rosemary needles.
- 18. Place a piece of aluminum foil on a work surface.
- 19. Place a piece of cod on the foil.
- 20. Add a few cubes of gherkin to the fish.
- 21. Add some bacon to the fish.
- 22. Sprinkle some chopped rosemary over the fish.
- 23. Place the next piece of cod on top.
- 24. Repeat the layers until all the fish is used.
- 25. Add the remaining bacon over the fish.
- 26. Add the chopped onions over the fish.
- 27. Add the remaining gherkins over the fish.
- 28. Fold the foil into a closed packet.
- 29. Grill the packet over high heat for about 40 minutes.
- 30. Alternatively, you can cook the packet in the oven at 160 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat) for about 40 minutes.
