🥤 Homemade Ginger-Turmeric Syrup

Ingredients
- ginger, fresh 50 g
- turmeric, fresh 50 g
- lemons 1 pc.
- brown sugar 150 g
- water 400 ml
Instructions
- 1. Peel the ginger and turmeric root.
- 2. Dice the ginger and turmeric very finely or grate them.
- 3. Cut the lemon in half.
- 4. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 5. Add the chopped ginger, turmeric, brown sugar, water, and lemon juice to a pot.
- 6. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it comes to a boil.
- 7. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
- 8. Let the syrup steep for about 30 minutes.
- 9. Strain the finished syrup through a fine mesh sieve.
- 10. Pour the syrup immediately into sterilized jars or bottles.
- 11. Seal the containers immediately after filling.
- 12. Store the syrup in a cool, dark place until you are ready to use it.
