🍽️ Simple Homemade Hummus

Ingredients
- chickpeas from the can 300 g
- sesame, white 50 g
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- lemons 0.5 pc.
- cumin 0.25 tsp
- salt pinch
- olive oil 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Open the can of chickpeas and drain the liquid.
- 2. Rinse the chickpeas thoroughly under cold water in a sieve.
- 3. Shake the sieve slightly to let the water drain off.
- 4. Put the sesame seeds without oil into a dry pan.
- 5. Roast the sesame seeds over medium heat for about 4 to 5 minutes.
- 6. Remove the pan from the heat and set the roasted sesame seeds aside.
- 7. Peel the garlic clove and chop it very finely.
- 8. Cut a lemon into two halves.
- 9. Squeeze the juice from one of the lemon halves.
- 10. Place the drained chickpeas into a tall blending cup.
- 11. Add the lemon juice and the chopped garlic.
- 12. Add half of the roasted sesame seeds to the cup.
- 13. Add the cumin to the cup.
- 14. Blend the ingredients very thoroughly with a mixer.
- 15. Check the consistency of the mixture.
- 16. If the mixture is too thick, add a little cold water.
- 17. Blend further until the desired creaminess is reached.
- 18. Season the hummus to taste with salt.
- 19. Place the finished hummus onto a plate.
- 20. Spread the hummus evenly on the plate.
- 21. Drizzle some olive oil over the hummus.
- 22. Sprinkle the remaining roasted sesame seeds on top.
- 23. Serve the hummus directly or with a side dish.
