  2. 2. Let the beans drain well in the colander.
  3. 3. Peel the garlic clove.
  4. 4. Press the garlic through a press or grate it finely.
  5. 5. Cut the lemon in half.
  6. 6. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  7. 7. Place the drained beans, garlic, and one tablespoon of lemon juice into a tall container.
  8. 8. Blend the ingredients until smooth.
  9. 9. Slowly drizzle four tablespoons of olive oil into the mixture while blending.
  10. 10. Continue mixing until a fine and homogeneous paste forms.
  11. 11. Season the hummus with salt and pepper.
  12. 12. Add a little more lemon juice to taste and check the flavor.
  13. 13. Transfer the hummus into a serving bowl.
  14. 14. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the hummus.
  15. 15. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the top.
