🍽️ Honey Chicken Thighs with Oven-Baked Noodles and Apple-Pepper Vegetables

Ingredients
- Dumplings 1 kg
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Chicken drumsticks 800 g
- Honey 1 tbsp
- Pepper, sweet pinch
- Thyme, fresh 5 g
- Apples, red 1 pc.
- Pepper, red 3 pcs.
- Onions, red 1 pc.
- Sugar pinch
- Water 3 tbsp
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Place the noodles into a bowl.
- 3. Add one tablespoon of oil and a pinch of salt to the noodles.
- 4. Mix everything well until the noodles are evenly coated.
- 5. Spread the noodles out flat on a baking sheet.
- 6. Rinse the chicken thighs under cold water.
- 7. Pat the meat dry with a kitchen towel.
- 8. Place the meat into the empty bowl.
- 9. Add honey and paprika powder.
- 10. Turn the meat until it is fully marinated.
- 11. Grease the oven rack with a little fat.
- 12. Place the chicken thighs on the rack.
- 13. Place the rack with the meat onto the baking sheet with the noodles.
- 14. Slide the tray into the center of the oven.
- 15. Bake everything for 25 to 30 minutes.
- 16. Remove the tray when the meat is golden brown.
- 17. Rinse the thyme under running water.
- 18. Shake the leaves dry.
- 19. Wash the apple under running water.
- 20. Cut the apple into quarters lengthwise.
- 21. Remove the core from the apple pieces.
- 22. Wash the pepper.
- 23. Cut the pepper into quarters lengthwise.
- 24. Remove the seeds and the white pith.
- 25. Cut the apple and pepper pieces into thin strips.
- 26. The strips should be about half a centimeter thick.
- 27. Cut the onion in half.
- 28. Remove the outer dry skin.
- 29. Cut the onion into thin strips as well.
- 30. Add three tablespoons of oil to a pot.
- 31. Heat the oil on medium heat.
- 32. Add the onions and sugar to the pot.
- 33. Fry the onions for two minutes.
- 34. The onions should become translucent.
- 35. Add the pepper strips and the thyme.
- 36. Continue frying everything for five minutes.
- 37. Fold the apple pieces into the vegetables.
- 38. Add some water to the pot.
- 39. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 40. Cover the pot with a lid.
- 41. Let the vegetables cook for eight minutes.
- 42. Remove the thyme sprigs from the pot.
- 43. Take the noodles and the chicken out of the oven.
- 44. Place the meat and noodles on the plates.
- 45. Serve the warm vegetables alongside.
