🍽️ Savory Gnocchi Pan with Bell Peppers, Bacon, and Arugula

Ingredients
- salt 1 tbsp
- bell pepper 2 pcs
- arugula 100 g
- gnocchi, fresh 800 g
- bell pepper, sweet pinch
- crème fraîche 300 g
- pepper, black ground pinch
- sugar pinch
- bacon strips 100 g
- butter 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Fill a large pot with about 4 liters of water and add salt. Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil. Cover the pot while you prepare the bell pepper.
- 2. Wash the bell pepper thoroughly. Cut it lengthwise into quarters and remove the seeds.
- 3. Take one of the bell pepper quarters and cut it into small cubes.
- 4. Take the remaining bell pepper quarters and cut them crosswise into thin strips.
- 5. Wash the arugula thoroughly. Let it drain well in a colander.
- 6. Add the gnocchi to the boiling salted water.
- 7. Let the gnocchi cook for about 3 minutes.
- 8. Watch for when the gnocchi rise to the surface. Once they float, they are done.
- 9. Drain the gnocchi in a colander to remove the water.
- 10. Place the gnocchi on a plate and set them aside.
- 11. Take a small bowl and add the bell pepper cubes.
- 12. Add some paprika powder to the cubes.
- 13. Add crème fraîche to the bowl.
- 14. Mix the bell pepper cubes, paprika powder, and crème fraîche well together.
- 15. Season the mixture with salt.
- 16. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 17. Season the mixture with a pinch of sugar.
- 18. Place a frying pan on the stove and preheat it on medium heat.
- 19. Place the bacon strips in the hot pan. Fry them without additional fat until crispy.
- 20. Fry the bacon for about 5 to 6 minutes.
- 21. Remove the fried bacon from the pan.
- 22. Place the bacon on a piece of kitchen paper to absorb excess fat.
- 23. Do not clean the pan. Leave the cooking residues in it.
- 24. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan with the cooking residues.
- 25. Heat the butter on medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- 26. Wait until the butter foams.
- 27. Add the gnocchi to the pan.
- 28. Fry the gnocchi for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- 29. Add the bell pepper strips to the pan.
- 30. Add some paprika powder.
- 31. Cook the pepper for about 2 minutes.
- 32. Just before the cooking time ends, add 2 tablespoons of butter.
- 33. Add the arugula to the pan.
- 34. Gently fold the butter and arugula into the gnocchi.
- 35. Season the dish again with salt.
- 36. Season the dish again with pepper.
- 37. Take a large bowl.
- 38. Place the gnocchi in the bowl.
- 39. Add the bacon to the gnocchi.
- 40. Add the bell pepper to the gnocchi.
- 41. Serve the pepper dip separately.
- 42. Serve the dish.
