🍳 Savory Puff Pastry Bunnies

Ingredients
- puff pastry 2 pcs.
- pesto alla Genovese 4 tbsp
- Parmesan, grated 2 tbsp
- eggs 1 pc.
- parsley, fresh 10 g
- cream cheese, plain 100 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets flat.
- 3. Spread pesto over one puff pastry sheet.
- 4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pesto.
- 5. Place the second puff pastry sheet on top.
- 6. Cut the pastry into strips about 3 centimeters wide.
- 7. Twist two strips together.
- 8. Halve the twisted strips.
- 9. Twist the ends in the upper third twice to form ears.
- 10. Place the bunnies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 11. Separate an egg and whisk only the yolk in a bowl.
- 12. Brush the bunnies with the egg yolk.
- 13. Bake the bunnies for approx. 15 minutes until golden brown.
- 14. Wash the parsley and shake it dry.
- 15. Pluck the parsley leaves from the stems.
- 16. Chop the parsley leaves roughly.
- 17. Mix cream cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- 18. Fill the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag.
- 19. Remove the bunnies from the oven and let them cool.
- 20. Fill the loop of each bunny with the cream cheese mixture.
- 21. Serve the bunnies and enjoy.
