🍳 Heart-shaped Egg in Bread Crust

Ingredients
- Sandwich Toast 4 slices
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Eggs 4 pcs
- Salt 1 pinch
- Pepper, black ground 1 pinch
- Parsley, fresh 0.5 bunch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 3. Cut out a heart shape from the center of each toast slice using a heart-shaped cutter.
- 4. Set aside the small cut-out hearts.
- 5. These small hearts will be baked and served later.
- 6. Heat the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
- 7. Carefully place the toast slices into the hot pan.
- 8. Fry the toast slices briefly on one side.
- 9. Wait until they are lightly golden brown.
- 10. This takes about 1 to 2 minutes.
- 11. Carefully crack an egg into the heart-shaped opening of each toast slice.
- 12. The yolk should sit well within the heart shape.
- 13. Season the eggs with a pinch of salt.
- 14. Season the eggs additionally with a pinch of pepper.
- 15. Use a spatula for assistance.
- 16. Carefully place the toast slices with the fried egg onto the prepared baking tray.
- 17. Place the reserved toast hearts onto the tray as well.
- 18. Put everything into the preheated oven.
- 19. Cook the dish for about 8 to 10 minutes.
- 20. The egg white should be firm.
- 21. The yolk should remain slightly soft.
- 22. Take the finished heart-shaped eggs out of the oven.
- 23. Plate the fried eggs.
- 24. Serve them together with the small, crispy toast hearts.
- 25. Optionally sprinkle the dish with chopped parsley.
