  1. 1. Peel the ginger and cut into small pieces. Halve the lemon and squeeze out the juice. In a pot, warm the sugar, ginger, and apple and lemon juice over medium heat.
  2. 2. Meanwhile, peel the apples, halve them, remove the core, and slice or shave them thinly. Add these to the warm apple juice and let steep covered for about 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Add the cider to the lukewarm apple juice and heat again for about 1 minute. Serve the hot apple cider. Cheers!
