  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
  2. 2. Rinse the chicken meat and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Cut the meat into small cubes.
  4. 4. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
  5. 5. Mix oil, the chopped garlic, turmeric, cumin, pepper, and salt in a bowl.
  6. 6. Set aside one tablespoon of this spice mixture.
  7. 7. Marinate the chicken cubes with the remaining spiced oil.
  8. 8. Halve the onions and peel them.
  9. 9. Cut the peeled onions into cubes.
  10. 10. Rinse the tomatoes and halve them.
  11. 11. Place the onion cubes and tomato halves in a baking dish.
  12. 12. Drizzle the vegetables with the reserved tablespoon of spiced oil.
  13. 13. Bake the vegetables in the oven for about 25 minutes.
  14. 14. Heat one tablespoon of butter in a pan over high heat.
  15. 15. Remove the marinated chicken cubes from the oil.
  16. 16. Thread the meat cubes onto wooden skewers.
  17. 17. Fry the skewers in the hot pan for about 6 minutes.
  18. 18. Pour the remaining spiced oil over the skewers in the pan.
  19. 19. Toss the pan briefly to coat the skewers well.
  20. 20. Remove the skewers from the pan.
  21. 21. Wrap the skewers in aluminum foil and keep them warm.
  22. 22. Melt another tablespoon of butter in the same pan over high heat.
  23. 23. Sauté the onion cubes in the pan juices for about 4 minutes until translucent.
  24. 24. Add sesame seeds and season with salt and pepper.
  25. 25. Stir the sour cream into the onions.
  26. 26. Take the oven tomatoes out of the oven.
  27. 27. Plate the skewers, the oven tomatoes, and the onion sauce.
  28. 28. Serve the dish with flatbread.
