Ingredients
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- apples, red 2 pc.
- lemons 1 pc.
- oil 1 tbsp
- honey 2 tbsp
- water 100 ml
- basil, fresh 20 g
- mustard 1 tsp
- sweet mustard 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- crusty bread 1 pc.
- chicken breast sliced meat 200 g
Instructions
- 1. Cut onions in half, peel, and dice finely. Wash apples, quarter them, remove seeds and core, and dice them just as small. Wash lemon, cut in half, and squeeze out the juice.
- 2. In a pot, heat oil over medium heat and sauté onions together with apples for about 2 minutes. Then add honey, 1 tsp lemon juice, and water, and let the mixture simmer gently for about 7 minutes.
- 3. Wash basil, dry thoroughly, pluck leaves from stems, and chop finely. Mix mustard into the chutney and season with salt, pepper, and if necessary, a little lemon and honey. Stir in the chopped basil.
- 4. Slice bread and spread with the apple-mustard chutney. Top with chicken breast and serve. Enjoy your meal! Tip: You can also use pears for the chutney. Leftover chutney can be stored in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for a few days.
