  2. 2. Place the onion pieces into the mixing bowl.
  3. 3. Chop the onions for 8 seconds on speed 8.
  4. 4. Use a spatula to push any sticky onion bits down from the sides of the bowl.
  5. 5. Add 2 tablespoons of oil.
  6. 6. Sauté the onions for 3 minutes at 120 degrees Celsius on speed 1.
  7. 7. Add mustard, hot vegetable broth, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  8. 8. Fill the deep steam cooking insert with the Spätzle.
  9. 9. Place the steam cooking insert onto the pot.
  10. 10. Steam the Spätzle for 15 minutes on the steam setting with reverse blade action.
  11. 11. Wash the chives under running water.
  12. 12. Shake the chives dry.
  13. 13. Cut the chives into fine rings.
  14. 14. Rinse the chicken breasts.
  15. 15. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a kitchen towel.
  16. 16. Gently flatten the chicken breasts by pounding them with the flat of your hand.
  17. 17. Season the chicken breasts with salt.
  18. 18. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  19. 19. Fry the chicken breasts on all sides for about 4 minutes.
  20. 20. Remove the breasts from the pan and place them on a plate.

  22. 22. Mix cornstarch with a little cold water in a small bowl.
