🍽️ Crispy Chicken with Creamy Mustard Sauce

Ingredients
- chicken breast fillets 400 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- shallots 2 pcs.
- garlic cloves 1 pcs.
- thyme, fresh 5 g
- oil 3 tbsp
- dry white wine 75 ml
- whipping cream 150 ml
- Dijon mustard 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chicken fillets under cold water and pat them completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 2. Season the fillets generously with salt and pepper and set them aside to reach room temperature.
- 3. Halve the shallots, peel them, and cut them into fine cubes.
- 4. Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely.
- 5. Wash the thyme sprigs, shake off excess water, strip off the leaves, and chop them finely.
- 6. Heat three tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan over high heat.
- 7. Fry the chicken fillets in the hot fat on all sides for about two minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- 8. Remove the fillets from the pan and place them on a plate.
- 9. Leave the pan with the cooking juices uncleaned.
- 10. Add the diced shallots and chopped garlic to the hot pan.
- 11. Sauté the vegetables on medium heat for about four minutes until translucent.
- 12. Deglaze the mixture with white wine and let the liquid reduce almost completely.
- 13. Add the cream and simmer the sauce for three to four minutes until it thickens.
- 14. Stir the Dijon mustard into the sauce.
- 15. Reduce the heat to low and season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- 16. Place the chicken fillets back into the pan into the sauce.
- 17. Cover the pan and let the meat cook through for two to three minutes.
- 18. Plate the finished fillets and serve them with the remaining mustard sauce.
