  6. 6. Set the seasoned chicken pieces aside.
  7. 7. Halve the onions and peel them.
  8. 8. Cut the peeled onions into strips.
  9. 9. Peel the garlic.
  10. 10. Finely chop the garlic.
  11. 11. Wash the carrots thoroughly.
  12. 12. Peel the carrots.
  13. 13. Cut off the ends of the carrots.
  14. 14. Slice the carrots into rings.
  15. 15. Halve the apricots.
  16. 16. Remove the pits from the apricot halves.
  17. 17. Cut the pitted apricots into wedges.

  19. 19. Pour about 700 ml of salted water over the rice.
