  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Cut the onion in half and peel off the skin.
  3. 3. Peel the garlic clove.
  4. 4. Wash the basil and shake it dry.
  5. 5. Pluck the leaves from the stems and chop them roughly.
  6. 6. Place the minced meat, Italian herbs, one teaspoon of salt, and some pepper into the mixing container.
  7. 7. Mix the ingredients for 20 seconds on speed level 3.
  8. 8. Shape the mixture into 16 small balls.
  9. 9. Place the meatballs into a baking dish.
  10. 10. Put the halved onion and the garlic into the mixing container.
  11. 11. Chop them for 4 seconds on speed level 8.
  12. 12. Scrape down the sides with a spatula.
  13. 13. Add oil and sauté the mixture for 2 minutes on the sauté setting.
  14. 14. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, cream, salt, and pepper.
  15. 15. Cook the sauce for 9 minutes at 100 degrees Celsius on speed level 1.
  16. 16. Meanwhile, let the mozzarella drain.
  17. 17. Slice the mozzarella.
  18. 18. Pour the finished sauce over the meatballs.
  19. 19. Top the balls with the mozzarella slices.
  20. 20. Bake the dish in the oven for about 20 minutes.
  21. 21. Carefully remove the meatballs from the oven.
  22. 22. Sprinkle them with the chopped basil.
  23. 23. Serve the dish hot.
