🍽️ Meatballs with Kohlrabi Fries and Mustard Dip

Ingredients
- Kohlrabi 4 pcs
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Shallots 2 pcs
- Chives, fresh 15 g
- Beef mince 600 g
- Spice for beef pinch
- Mustard 2 tbsp
- Fresh cheese, plain 250 g
- Milk 2 tbsp
- Sugar pinch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Set the heating mode to top and bottom heat.
- 2. Wash the kohlrabi thoroughly.
- 3. Peel the skin off the kohlrabi.
- 4. Remove any woody or fibrous remnants.
- 5. Cut the kohlrabi into slices about one centimeter thick.
- 6. Cut the slices into sticks about one centimeter thick.
- 7. Place the kohlrabi sticks into a bowl.
- 8. Add two tablespoons of oil.
- 9. Add two pinches of salt.
- 10. Add two pinches of pepper.
- 11. Mix the ingredients in the bowl well together.
- 12. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 13. Spread the kohlrabi sticks evenly on the tray.
- 14. Place the tray in the oven.
- 15. Bake the kohlrabi fries for about 35 minutes.
- 16. Halve the shallots.
- 17. Peel the shallots.
- 18. Dice the shallots finely.
- 19. Wash the chives.
- 20. Pat the chives dry with a kitchen towel.
- 21. Cut the chives into fine rings.
- 22. Place the ground meat into a separate bowl.
- 23. Add the diced shallots to the ground meat.
- 24. Add the spices to the ground meat.
- 25. Add one and a half tablespoons of mustard to the ground meat.
- 26. Mix the meat mixture well with a spoon.
- 27. Season the mixture with salt.
- 28. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 29. Shape about 16 small balls from the mixture.
- 30. Place the meatballs into a small baking dish.
- 31. Wait until the kohlrabi fries have been in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- 32. Place the baking dish with the meatballs into the oven.
- 33. Bake the meatballs for about 15 minutes alongside the fries.
- 34. Place the cream cheese into a small bowl.
- 35. Add the remaining mustard to the cream cheese mixture.
- 36. Add the milk to the cream cheese mixture.
- 37. Add the chive rings to the cream cheese mixture.
- 38. Mix the dip ingredients well together.
- 39. Season the dip with salt.
- 40. Season the dip with pepper.
- 41. Season the dip with sugar.
- 42. Remove the kohlrabi fries and meatballs from the oven.
- 43. Plate the fries and meatballs.
- 44. Serve the mustard dip alongside.
