🍽️ Cheese Crackers with Fried Meatballs

Ingredients
- Gouda, grated 75 g
- Butter 75 g
- Wheat flour Type 550 100 g
- Onions, yellow 1 pc.
- Minced meat, mixed 400 g
- Breadcrumbs 50 g
- Eggs 1 pc.
- Paprika, sweet 1 tsp
- Oil 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Mix Gouda, cold butter, flour, and a pinch of salt in a bowl until you have a smooth dough.
- 3. Wrap the dough in cling film and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- 4. Peel an onion and grate it coarsely into a bowl.
- 5. Add minced meat, breadcrumbs, and an egg to the onion and mix everything well.
- 6. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and paprika powder.
- 7. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 8. Form 16 small meatballs using wet hands.
- 9. Fry the balls on all sides for about 6 minutes.
- 10. Let the meatballs cool down.
- 11. Roll out the chilled dough on a work surface dusted with a little flour to a thickness of 4 millimeters.
- 12. Cut out 16 cookies using a fluted cutter (approx. 6 cm diameter).
- 13. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 14. Bake the cookies in the oven for approx. 8 minutes.
- 15. Let the cheese crackers cool down.
- 16. Place a meatball on each cheese cracker.
- 17. Secure the balls with a wooden skewer.
- 18. Serve the small snacks.
