🍽️ Savory Yeast Rolls with Minced Meat and Feta

Ingredients
- Wheat flour, Type 405 200 g
- Sugar Pinch
- Yeast, fresh 0.5 pc
- Water 80 ml
- feta 100 g
- Onions, yellow 1 pc
- butter 70 g
- Minced meat, mixed 400 g
- Salt Pinch
- Pepper, white ground Pinch
- Eggs 1 pc
- Whipping cream 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Mix flour, sugar, and yeast in a bowl with lukewarm water.
- 2. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
- 3. Place the feta cheese in a sieve and let it drain.
- 4. Halve the onion, peel it, and dice it finely.
- 5. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium heat.
- 6. Sauté the onion cubes for about 4 to 5 minutes until translucent.
- 7. Remove the onions from the pan and set them aside.
- 8. Brown the minced meat in the remaining fat until crumbly.
- 9. Season the meat generously with salt and pepper.
- 10. Let the meat mixture cool down.
- 11. Separate one egg into yolk and white.
- 12. Add the yolk, a pinch of salt, and 50 grams of butter to the dough.
- 13. Knead the ingredients well into a smooth dough.
- 14. Let the dough rise covered in a warm place for another 30 minutes.
- 15. Dice the feta cheese into small pieces.
- 16. Mix the feta in a bowl with the cooled minced meat, onions, cream, and egg white.
- 17. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius fan mode.
- 18. Lightly flour your work surface.
- 19. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- 20. Spread the meat filling evenly over the dough.
- 21. Leave a border of about 2 centimeters free.
- 22. Roll up the dough starting from the long side.
- 23. Cut the roll into pieces about 2 centimeters thick with a sharp knife.
- 24. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 25. Slightly flatten the rolls.
- 26. Brush them with cream.
- 27. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes.
- 28. Serve the yeast rolls warm or cold.
