🍰 Basic Almond Caramel Crunch

Ingredients
- almonds, whole 200 g
- sugar 200 g
- water 5 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Finely chop the almonds. You can also have them finely chopped by a professional in a food processor.
- 2. Put the sugar and 5 tablespoons of water into a non-stick pan.
- 3. Heat the mixture on low to medium heat.
- 4. Wait until the sugar turns brownish.
- 5. Add the chopped almonds.
- 6. Stir everything well with a wooden spoon.
- 7. Set the pan to low heat.
- 8. Caramelize the mixture while stirring constantly.
- 9. Spread the hot almond caramel mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 10. Let the caramel crunch cool down completely.
- 11. Process the caramel crunch now in your dessert or store it airtight in a jar until you serve it.
