🍽️ Crispy Kale with Bacon, Pears, and Beans

Ingredients
- walnut kernels 4 tbsp
- pears 2 pcs
- onions, yellow 2 pcs
- kale, fresh 1 kg
- salt pinch
- bacon strips 250 g
- pepper, black ground pinch
- white beans in the can 300 g
- cream cheese, plain 200 g
Instructions
- 1. Roughly chop the walnuts.
- 2. Toast the nuts in a pan without oil over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
- 3. Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the walnuts to a plate.
- 4. Wash the pears thoroughly.
- 5. Cut the pears into quarters and remove the core.
- 6. Dice the pear quarters into small cubes.
- 7. Cut the onion in half and peel it.
- 8. Finely dice the onion.
- 9. Wash the kale thoroughly.
- 10. Remove the tough stem from the kale.
- 11. Roughly chop the kale leaves into pieces.
- 12. Bring about 1.5 liters of salted water to a boil in a pot.
- 13. Add the kale to the boiling water for about 1 minute (this is called blanching).
- 14. Remove the kale from the water and rinse it in a colander.
- 15. Let the kale drain well.
- 16. Add the bacon to the same pot and heat it over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- 17. Add the diced onion, pears, kale, and about 400 ml of water to the pot.
- 18. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 19. Cook everything over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- 20. Rinse the beans in a colander.
- 21. Add the beans and cream cheese to the pot.
- 22. Mix all ingredients well together.
- 23. Warm the mixture for another 3 minutes over medium heat.
- 24. Finally, adjust the seasoning of the dish with salt and pepper.
- 25. Serve the kale on plates.
- 26. Sprinkle the dish with the toasted walnuts.
