🍲 Hearty Kale Stew with Smoked Pork

Ingredients
- Kale, frozen 750 g
- Potatoes, waxy 500 g
- Onions, yellow 1 pc.
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Vegetable broth 500 ml
- Salt pinch
- Kassler, in one piece 250 g
- Belly bacon 100 g
- Mustard 2 tbsp
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Let the kale thaw in the refrigerator overnight if possible.
- 2. Peel the potatoes and wash them thoroughly.
- 3. Cut the potatoes in half.
- 4. Cut the onion in half and peel it.
- 5. Dice the onion.
- 6. Heat the oil in a large pot over high heat.
- 7. Sauté the onion cubes for about 2 minutes.
- 8. Add the kale and broth to the pot.
- 9. Season the mixture with a bit of salt.
- 10. Let the stew simmer covered for about 45 minutes over medium heat.
- 11. After about 20 minutes of cooking time, add the kassler, pork belly, and potato halves.
- 12. Continue to cook everything together for the remaining time.
- 13. Season the kale stew with mustard, salt, and pepper.
- 14. Remove the kassler and pork belly from the stew.
- 15. Cut the meat into even pieces.
- 16. Plate the meat on deep dishes.
- 17. Serve the kale stew with the meat.
