🍽️ Turkey Strips with Green Wok Vegetables and Basmati Rice

Ingredients
- Turkey breast fillet 600 g
- Red bell pepper 0.5 tsp
- Salt pinch
- Broccoli 1 pc
- Spring onions 1 bunch
- Cucumbers 1 pc
- Organic limes 1 pc
- Basmati rice 300 g
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Vegetable broth 200 ml
- Soy sauce 4 tbsp
- Honey 1 tsp
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the turkey meat under cold water.
- 2. Pat the meat completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Cut the turkey meat into thin strips.
- 4. Place the meat strips in a bowl.
- 5. Season the meat with paprika powder and a pinch of salt.
- 6. Rinse the broccoli under running water.
- 7. Remove the hard stem at the bottom of the broccoli.
- 8. Cut the broccoli into small, bite-sized florets.
- 9. Clean the spring onions and remove the dry roots.
- 10. Cut the white and green parts of the spring onions separately into thin rings.
- 11. Rinse the cucumber under cold water.
- 12. Cut the cucumber lengthwise into four long strips.
- 13. Slice the cucumber pieces diagonally into thin rounds.
- 14. Halve the lime.
- 15. Squeeze the juice from the lime and set it aside.
- 16. Put the rice into a pot.
- 17. Pour about 700 milliliters of salted water over the rice.
- 18. Bring the water and rice to a boil.
- 19. Reduce the heat to a medium setting.
- 20. Place the lid on the pot.
- 21. Let the rice cook for about 12 minutes.
- 22. Stir the rice occasionally during the cooking time.
- 23. Pour the oil into a large frying pan.
- 24. Heat the oil over medium heat.
- 25. Place the seasoned turkey strips into the hot pan.
- 26. Fry the meat on both sides for about 4 minutes until golden brown.
- 27. Remove the cooked meat from the pan.
- 28. Set the meat aside to keep it warm.
- 29. Leave the pan uncleaned with the cooking juices.
- 30. Reheat the pan on high heat.
- 31. Add the white parts of the spring onions to the hot pan.
- 32. Add the broccoli florets to the pan.
- 33. Fry the vegetables for about 2 minutes.
- 34. Deglaze the vegetables with some broth.
- 35. Reduce the heat to medium.
- 36. Let the vegetables simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 37. Wait until all the liquid has evaporated.
- 38. Add the sliced cucumber pieces to the pan.
- 39. Add the green parts of the spring onions to the pan.
- 40. Return the prepared turkey meat to the pan.
- 41. Fry everything together briefly until hot.
- 42. Deglaze the dish with soy sauce.
- 43. Add the honey.
- 44. Add two teaspoons of lime juice.
- 45. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
- 46. Distribute the finished rice onto the plates.
- 47. Place the wok vegetables with the turkey strips on top of the rice.
- 48. Serve the dish immediately.
