🍽️ Crispy Grissini Sticks

Ingredients
- yeast, fresh 0.5 pcs
- sugar pinch
- water 125 ml
- wheat flour, Type 405 250 g
- salt pinch
- olive oil 60 ml
- oregano, dried 1 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Crumble the yeast into a small bowl.
- 2. Mix the yeast with the sugar and 50 milliliters of lukewarm water.
- 3. Let the mixture stand covered for about 10 minutes until it foams.
- 4. Add the flour, half a teaspoon of salt, the oil, and another 75 milliliters of lukewarm water to the bowl.
- 5. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 6. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes until it has doubled in size.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat).
- 8. Knead the dough briefly and divide it into two equal halves.
- 9. Knead oregano into one of the two dough halves.
- 10. Divide each dough half into 8 small pieces.
- 11. Work with floured hands and roll the pieces into long, thin sticks.
- 12. Place the sticks on two baking sheets lined with baking paper.
- 13. Bake the grissini one after the other for about 12 minutes in the oven.
- 14. Turn the sticks over after half the baking time (i.e., after 6 minutes).
- 15. Let the finished grissini cool on the tray.
- 16. Serve the crispy sticks as desired.
