🍰 Semolina Pudding with Hot Cherries

Ingredients
- sour cherries in a jar 400 g
- cornstarch 1 tsp
- milk 500 ml
- sugar 20 g
- salt pinch
- soft wheat semolina 50 g
Instructions
- 1. Place the cherries in a colander to let the juice drain. Collect about 150 milliliters of cherry juice.
- 2. Bring the collected cherry juice to a boil in a pot.
- 3. Mix the starch in a small bowl with a little cold water until you have a smooth mixture.
- 4. Add the starch-water mixture to the boiling cherry juice.
- 5. Simmer the mixture for about 2 minutes while stirring constantly.
- 6. Add the drained cherries to the pot.
- 7. Remove the pot from the heat to finish the cherry mixture.
- 8. Bring milk, sugar, and salt to a boil in a separate pot.
- 9. Slowly sprinkle the semolina into the boiling milk while stirring constantly.
- 10. Let the semolina porridge swell for about 3 to 5 minutes over low heat.
- 11. Stir occasionally to prevent the porridge from becoming too thick.
- 12. Portion the warm semolina porridge into small bowls.
- 13. Top the pudding with the hot cherries and serve the dish.
