🍰 Creamy Semolina Pudding with Caramelized Apples and Cranberries

Ingredients
- apples, red 2 pcs.
- butter 1 tbsp.
- sugar 3 tbsp.
- orange juice 150 ml
- cranberries, dried 50 g
- cinnamon 0.25 tsp.
- milk 500 ml
- salt pinch
- soft wheat semolina 50 g
Instructions
- 1. Peel the apples and remove the core.
- 2. Cut the fruit flesh into small cubes.
- 3. Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
- 4. Fry the apple cubes for about 2 minutes.
- 5. Sprinkle the apples with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- 6. Caramelize the sugar for about 2 minutes.
- 7. Deglaze the apple mixture with orange juice.
- 8. Simmer the apples for approx. 6 minutes until soft.
- 9. Add the cranberries and cinnamon.
- 10. Season the compote to taste.
- 11. Bring milk, sugar, and salt to a boil in a separate pot.
- 12. Stir the semolina into the hot milk while stirring constantly.
- 13. Let the porridge swell for about 3 to 5 minutes over low heat.
- 14. Stir occasionally to prevent the porridge from becoming too firm.
- 15. Distribute the semolina pudding evenly onto plates.
- 16. Garnish the pudding with the apple-cranberry compote.
