🥤 Golden Drink: Rum with Ginger Ale

Ingredients
- ginger, fresh 20 g
- sugar 100 g
- water 100 ml
- cinnamon stick 1 pcs
- star anise 1 pcs
- cloves 3 pcs
- ice cubes 8 tbsp
- rum, Cuban Ron Rumbero 40 ml
- ginger ale 150 ml
Instructions
- 1. Slice the ginger into very thin pieces.
- 2. Stir 100 grams of sugar with 100 milliliters of water in a pot.
- 3. Add the ginger slices, cinnamon, star anise, and cloves to the pot.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 5. Let the syrup simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
- 6. Strain the spiced syrup through a sieve into a swing-top bottle.
- 7. Let the syrup cool down briefly.
- 8. Fill a shaker with ice.
- 9. Pour 15 milliliters of the spiced syrup into the shaker.
- 10. Pour 50 milliliters of rum into the shaker.
- 11. Shake the mixture vigorously.
- 12. Fill a drinking glass with ice cubes.
- 13. Pour the rum-syrup mix into the glass.
- 14. Top up the drink with ginger ale.
- 15. Serve the Golden Drink immediately.
