🍽️ Grilled Gözleme with Feta and Spinach Filling

Ingredients
- Wheat flour, Type 550 450 g
- Salt pinch
- Water 280 ml
- Olive oil 4 tbsp
- Onions, yellow 1 pc
- Garlic cloves 1 pc
- Leaf spinach 200 g
- feta 200 g
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Butter 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Mix flour, salt, water, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a bowl.
- 2. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
- 3. Cover the dough and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- 4. Halve and peel the onions. Dice them finely.
- 5. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 6. Wash the spinach and let it drain well.
- 7. Crumble the feta cheese into coarse pieces using your hands.
- 8. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 9. Sauté the onions and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes until translucent.
- 10. Add the spinach to the pan and let it wilt for 3 minutes.
- 11. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 12. Fold the feta into the spinach mixture.
- 13. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste.
- 14. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.
- 15. Dust a work surface with flour.
- 16. Roll each dough portion into a thin circle.
- 17. Spread the filling over half of a dough circle.
- 18. Fold the empty part of the dough over the filling.
- 19. Press the edges firmly together to create a half-moon shape.
- 20. Place the raw gözleme individually on a floured cutting board.
- 21. Preheat the grill.
- 22. Grill the gözleme for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 23. Place the finished gözleme on a plate.
- 24. Keep them warm covered.
- 25. Brush the gözleme with a little butter.
- 26. Serve the gözleme immediately.
