🍽️ Creamy Gnocchi with Green Asparagus

Ingredients
- green asparagus 2 bunch
- gnocchi, fresh 800 g
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- lemons 1 pc.
- parmesan 80 g
- butter 20 g
- vegetable broth 250 ml
- whipping cream 200 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- basil, fresh 10 g
- cornstarch 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the green asparagus thoroughly. Peel the bottom third of the stalks. Break off the woody ends. Cut the stalks into three equal pieces. Place the asparagus and gnocchi in the deep steam cooking insert. Halve the onion and peel it. Peel the garlic clove. Wash the lemon. Grate about one teaspoon of lemon zest. Squeeze the lemon juice.
- 2. Put the Parmesan into the mixing container. Grind it for 10 seconds on speed 10. Pour the ground Parmesan into a small bowl.
- 3. Add the halved onion and garlic to the mixing container. Chop them for 4 seconds on speed 8. Scrape down the sides with a spatula. Add 20 grams of butter. Sauté the mixture for 3 minutes on the sauté setting. Add the vegetable broth, cream, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Place the steam cooking insert on the device. Close it. Cook the ingredients for 15 minutes on the steam setting.
- 4. Wash the basil thoroughly. Shake it dry. Pluck the leaves from the stems. Whisk the cornstarch in a small bowl with a little water until smooth.
- 5. Add the cornstarch mixture and half of the Parmesan to the sauce. Bring the sauce to a boil for another 2 minutes at 100 degrees on speed 2. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Mix the asparagus, gnocchi, and sauce in a large bowl. Serve the dish topped with fresh basil. Enjoy!
