  1. 1. Take the butter out of the fridge to let it reach room temperature.
  2. 2. Put the butter, sugar, salt, flour, baking powder, and egg into a bowl.
  3. 3. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  4. 4. Wrap the dough tightly in cling film.
  5. 5. Place the foil in the refrigerator for at least one and a half hours.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  7. 7. Lightly dust your work surface with flour.
  8. 8. Roll out the dough on the surface to about four millimeters thick.
  9. 9. Cut out various shapes with a diameter of four to five centimeters.
  10. 10. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  11. 11. Bake the cookies for about twelve minutes until the edges turn slightly brown.
  12. 12. Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
  13. 13. Wash the lemon thoroughly and cut it in half.
  14. 14. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon.
  15. 15. Sift the powdered sugar into a clean bowl.
  16. 16. Stir the powdered sugar with two tablespoons of lemon juice to form a thick glaze.
  17. 17. Fill the glaze into a freezer bag.
  18. 18. Seal the bag well.
  19. 19. Cut off a small corner from the tip of the bag.
  20. 20. Decorate the cooled cookies with the glaze.
  21. 21. Sprinkle the cookies with sugar pearls as desired.
  22. 22. Let the glaze dry completely.
  23. 23. Serve the finished cookies.
