  2. 2. Fry the bratwursts in it for about 4 minutes.
  3. 3. Remove the bratwursts from the pan and let them cool down briefly.
  4. 4. Slice the bratwursts into rounds about 1 to 2 centimeters thick.
  5. 5. Mix beer, honey, mustard, and cane sugar in a bowl.
  6. 6. Pour the beer sauce into the pan and reduce it over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  7. 7. Mix starch with 3 tablespoons of cold water in a separate bowl.
  8. 8. Stir the starch-water mixture into the sauce.
  9. 9. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 3 minutes until it thickens.
  10. 10. Season the beer sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  11. 11. Skewer the bratwurst slices with toothpicks.
  12. 12. Arrange the bratwurst bites on a plate and serve with the beer sauce.
