Ingredients
- lemons 1 pc.
- sugar 100 g
- apples, red 4 pcs.
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 75 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 3. Pour 500 milliliters of water, 100 grams of sugar, and the lemon juice into a pot.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a boil until the sugar has dissolved.
- 5. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 6. Core the apples to remove the seeds and tough center.
- 7. Slice the apples into rounds about 0.5 centimeters thick.
- 8. Place the apple slices into the boiling syrup.
- 9. Cook the apples in the syrup for 3 minutes.
- 10. Pour the apple rings into a colander and let them drain well.
- 11. Line two baking sheets with baking paper.
- 12. Arrange the apple rings side by side on the baking sheets.
- 13. Place the sheets in the oven and dry the apples for 4.5 hours.
- 14. Remove the apple rings from the oven and let them cool down completely.
- 15. Store the finished rings airtight in a jar.
