  2. 2. Place soft butter pieces, 150 grams of sugar, and 2 eggs into the mixing bowl.
  3. 3. Mix the ingredients with the measuring cup inserted for 2 minutes on speed 4.
  4. 4. Add cold buttermilk and mix everything for 1 minute on speed 3.
  5. 5. Add flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt to the bowl.
  6. 6. Mix the mixture for 1 minute on speed 3 until a smooth batter forms.
  7. 7. Push the mixture down from the inner wall of the bowl using a spatula.
  8. 8. Mix the mixture again for 20 seconds on speed 4.
  9. 9. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  10. 10. Distribute the batter evenly among the cups.
  11. 11. Bake the muffins for approximately 25 minutes.
  12. 12. Perform a skewer test by inserting a wooden skewer into a muffin.
  13. 13. Extend the baking time by a few minutes if necessary.
  14. 14. Let the muffins cool down on a wire rack.
  15. 15. Set the oven to 100 degrees Celsius with fan (convection).
  16. 16. Place 330 grams of sugar into the mixing bowl.
  17. 17. Grind the sugar for 10 seconds on speed 8.
  18. 18. Repeat the process if necessary to obtain fine powdered sugar.
  19. 19. Separate 3 eggs and use the yolks for another purpose.
  20. 20. Insert the whisk attachment into the mixing bowl.
  21. 21. Add the egg whites to the powdered sugar in the bowl.
  22. 22. Whip the mixture for 10 minutes on speed 2 at 37 degrees Celsius.
  23. 23. Add vanilla sugar.
  24. 24. Continue whipping the mixture for 5 minutes on speed 2 at 37 degrees Celsius.
  25. 25. Fill the meringue mixture into a piping bag.
  26. 26. Pipe 12 large dollops onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  27. 27. Bake the meringues in the preheated oven for approximately 1.5 hours.
  28. 28. Let the meringues cool down in the turned-off and closed oven.
  29. 29. Cut licorice fruit gums to shape with a sharp knife as desired.
  30. 30. Mix a little powdered sugar with a very small amount of water to make a sugar glaze.
  31. 31. Stick eyes and mouths made of licorice onto the meringue ghosts using the sugar glaze.
  32. 32. Level the tops of the muffins with a knife.
  33. 33. Attach the ghosts to the muffins using a little sugar glaze.
